The black lacquer comes from a natural source and layer after layer of the lacquer is carefully applied by hand to each bowl to create a stunning high shine finish. The bowl is carefully sanded between each layer of lacquer to ensure they are smooth. Much care and attention is taken to create a high quality polished finish that is all done by hand. The clue is in the name of these bowls 'Tillt'! The round bowl has a slight tilt to the top edge which gives them a wonderful shape.
